Environmental measures in production activity
・Competition with Developing Nations

The chart on the left shows the wage comparison of factory laborers at the overseas subsidiaries of T.RAD
The exchange rate then was $1.00=\133. Considering the current exchange rate, the disparity will be greater than this.
Setting the fraction of the labor costs for the initial manufacturing costs at approximately 25%, it is nearly impossible to achieve the best domestic production over Asian countries in terms of the costs.
The domestic production is made possible in cases where differentiation is possible only in the high product quality and the accurate dates of delivery as appointed.
Despite that, it is difficult to compete with the current productivity.
The measures for the breakthrough improvement of productivity and the reduction of the labor cost fraction are demanded.
T.RAD is responding to such harsh demands and developing “TRK 2000 activities” as the measure for us to prevail in the 21st century.

The clients’requests for cost cutting that rigidify from year to year are far beyond the level to meet through merely repeated improvements.
T.RAD is aggressively promoting activities, such as the thorough standardization of designs, the downsizing of factories to a half through versatile production lines, and the tripling of productivity.
T.RAD is improving productivity above the current level, while reducing plants and equipment and downsizing the production lines to a half.
T.RAD has almost finished organizing the system of six factories in Japan into a system of three factories.
Energy consumption at the factories, such as heating and lighting costs, are drastically reducing.
Idle plants and equipment that resulted from this activity are being used for the overseas subsidiaries after reorganization.
